EVALUATION

With the advancement of technology there have been many ways to attract and promote a product/service to a target audience. I focused on the classic ways of promoting an artist, they were through the medium of print; a digipak and a magazine advertisement. In addition to that I looked at other unique ways of advertising for ideas to promote my artist on a bid to be unique and creatively present my ideas to target my audience. What I’ve clearly noticed is that these new media technologies have given me more room to manoeuvre my skills and creativity for a desired effect.

o My target audience is predominantly female teenagers around the age of 13- 19 and maybe even older.
o As the content is about a break up, it may very easily relate to girls and the issue of female empowerment is addressed as the video aims to portray a girl happily moving on after a break up challenging the cliché of presentation of women in relationships.
o In order to best target my audience I had to research the market trends and I made sure I was fully aware of conventions. I noticed a strong link that is continuous from the video and other promotional stuff so that the audience can quickly identify them.
